  The sitting governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has won his closest rival, Emmanuel Jime of the APC, in the just concluded governorship and states Assembly rerun that took place on Saturday, 23 March 2019, to secure a second term in office.

Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto state has defeated his closest rival, Ahmad Aliyu of the APC. He scored highest votes after collation of results of supplementary election, which was held on 23 September, 2019. He scored 512,002 to defeat APC candidate, who scored 511,661. The merging is 341.
