Just In: Pro Buhari group allowed entry into Unity Fountain

Pro Buhari group in Abuja

A pro government group in support of the leadership of President Mohammed Buhari has been allowed to gain entrance into the premises of Unity Fountain Abuja shortly after it blocked #RevolutionNow protesters from using the place to air their displeasure with Buhari's style of leadership.

With banners and placards bearing the inscription which pledges allegiance  to President Buhari's administration, the group trooped to the popular park on Monday afternoon with the security operatives on ground keeping mom.

Operating under the name - Coalition For Good Governance, convener of the solidarity march, Sunday Attah, stated that they gathered to express their total support for President Buhari for always protecting Nigeria against external forces.

“We are over 12 civil society organisations and we just want to express our support for this government and President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We are here to tell Nigerians that this government is doing well, this government has set a strong foundation for us to build on.

“Therefore, we do not need any person to disrupt what the President is doing", he said.

Asked if he was aware that similar protest was holding against the administration nationwide by #RevolutionNow group, Mr Attah said that the protesters are sponsored by enemies of Nigeria with sinister moves to overthrow the incumbent regime.

China releases a bizarre Lego-like cartoon, mocking US COVID-19 response after the communist country has been criticized by the US president Donald Trump, for allegedly poor handling of the health crisis.  While China has reported no fatalities from the virus in the country over the past week, the white House has accused China of concealing vital data about the pandemic during it's initial stage, and therefore ordered an investigation into reports that COVID-19 had been caused by an accident at Wuhan institute of virology.  In a short video clip posted by China's official news agency Xinhua, the Chinese slammed the accusation against them, claiming that the US was inconsistent at various stages of the pandemic.
