Mob Descend on Rail Line Robbery Gang in Enugu

Hoodlums vandalising rail lines and robbing residents living around Holy Ghost axis of Enugu were on Wednesday, June 17, descended heavily and inflicted upon, after they robbed a woman of her valuables.

According to the Spokesperson, Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amarizu, he stated that luck ran out of the hoodlums as irate mob, who had sworn to assist the police end rail line vandalism and vandalism incidents descended heavily on them before the arrival of reinforcement team from Central Police Station, Enugu.

“It was gathered that one of the hoodlums, later identified as Ebube Egbo of Amuri community in Nkanu West Local Government Area, and other gang members had engaged plain-cloth operatives on surveillance duties at the rail line with guns and machetes.

“However, luck ran out of them as irate mob descended heavily on them before the arrival of reinforcement team from Central Police Station, Enugu.

“The suspected hoodlums were critically injured by the irate mob, who had sworn to assist the police end rail line vandalism and robbery incidents,’’ he said.

He further disclosed that the injured suspects among them were taking to a nearby hospital where one of them was later confirmed dead, after their weapons had been recovered from them by the Police reinforcement team.

100 Level Uniport student commits suicide due to depression

A 100 level Chemical Engineering student of the University of Port-Harcourt, identified as Hikmat Gbadamosi, has died in a circumstance suspected to be suicide. Hilbert has been battling with a medical condition since birth, which causes her pain. It is assumed by her friends that as a result of this terminal illness, Hikmat retorted to taking her own life, by consuming poisonous substance. Instablog reports.
