Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) has on Tuesday added to the suffering of Nigerians by increasing Value Added Tax (VAT).
Presently, Value Added Tax (VAT) is 5 percent.
From the statement made the chairman of FIRS, Mr Babatunde Fowler, Nigeria taxing will spring from between 6.2 to 7.2%.
I wonder how Nigerians could cope with this, in this present economic inballance.
Well, most Nigerians will tell you that this present government do not care about the hardship they are passing through.
If you look at the statement made by Mr Fowler, "FIRS is trying to meet it's 2019 revenue generation target of N8 trillion, there is an aorta of truth in what Nigerians are assuming.
Though the agency is looking at the N30,000 minimum wage approval by the senate to Federal and states Nigerian workers, with this present economic status, this is not obtainable.
