Ritual killing is a National phenomenon, not restricted to one part nor it is a purview of any ethnic group nor indeed, peculiar to traditional religion adherents. And indeed, some Nigerians have exported this satanic practice outside the shores of this country.
Just yesterday, 18 April, in Asaba, Delta state, a young lady was rescued from the hands of some suspected kidnappers, who attempted to abduct her.
According to reports, as the lady boarded a trycycle popularly known as keke, from the popular Ogbengonogo market to her house, two boys joined her from both sides, leaving her in their middle.
On reaching her bustop, the lady signaled the keke driver to stop her. The keke driver who's believed to be in connivance with the two other hoodlums, refused to stop, thereby forcing the lady to raise alarm. It was gathered that as the hoodlums noticed that she was going to implicate them, they charmed and hypnotized her. But police in a swift response apprehended the three suspects.
Irate youths on seeing what was going on rushed to lynch them, but prevented by the police.
