Video: Nigerian actor brutalized by police for failing to pay bribe


Following criticism coming from Nigerians, over police indiscriminate abuse, yet another notable Nigerian actor, Lanre Adediwura has called on Nigerians to come to his aid, over assault metted on him and his colleagues by an unidentified policewoman, on 10 April.

In the video clip shared on his Instagram page, Lanre was seen shouting while trying to explain how he was assaulted alongside his colleagues by a policewoman, simply because they are abiding by the law.

According to Lanre, he packed his car by the side of the road, to pick his colleagues, one of them a pregnant woman.

As he was about to head back on the road, a policewoman came from nowhere and attacked him, trying to force him out of his car.

She finally forced her way into driver's seat, trying to seize his car keys. In the process, she allegedly punched a pregnant woman, who immediately started bleeding.

Lanre also claimed that she damaged his windscreen, and also lost his N50,000 during the attack.
