Fact Check: Wizkid risks losing his career to Rema

Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known as Wizkid, rose to prominence in 2010, when he released a song "Holla at your boy" from the album "super star", in (2011).

Wizkid who signed into Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), in 2009, became the first ever Nigerian musician to have over one million followers on twitter.
In 2014, Wizkid parted ways with E.M.E, after the expiration of their 5 year recording contract.

Born on 16 July, 1990, Wizkid achieved international recognition, after he was featured by one of the America's biggest Hip Hop artist "Drake" in his song 'One dance.'

'One dance' became a household song, when it rose to number 1 song in 15 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.

The 'Jaiye' crooner kept up-ting his game, which made him the first Afro-beat artist to appear in the 2018 Guiness book of records.
In 2013, Wizkid was ranked 5th on Forbes and Channel O's list of Top 10 Richest/Bankable African Artist.

However, music lovers no longer feel the vibe coming from Wizkid's songs, because of the fact that Wizkid recycles his lyrics, as well as his melody and tunes.

Classifying Wizkid's songs as trash, music fans now see Wizkid as someone who at every chance given to make  songs, get a lot of repetitive words, using lyrics that are found totally unreliable, weak and apaulin.

    Threat To Wizkid's Career?

The advent of a young act "Rema" newly signed into "Mavin" records subsidiary "Jonzing World" is perceived as a threat to Wizkid's career.

According to public opinion, Young Rema brings back the old Wizzy, who use to feel the air waves with good rhythm, and ensures that his fans are satisfied.

       Who Is Rema?

Born in 2001, Divine Ikubor popularly called 'Rema' signed into "Jonzing" World, a new imprint under "Mavin records."

Rema who hails from Edo state, lived his early life in Benin City, rapping in churches and at school, before he was discovered by D'Prince, DonJazzy's younger brother, who heads 'Jonzing world', a subsidiary of Mavin records.

The fast rising artist, rose to prominence with the release of the song "Iron man."

Rema recently set the internet on fire after he released a song titled "Dumebi."

The release of the song "Dumebi" made music fans go into comparison between Wizkid and the young act, who they feel will push Wizzy out of music trending scene.
Some are of the opinion that Wizkid might lose out to the young act, who they feel is bringing back memories of the old songs by Wizkid, while Wizkid's die hard fans are insisting that Wizkid has outgrown those stages, and therefore, that it is an insult comparing Wizkid and young Rema, who is just 18.

My contribution is that Wizkid should stop disregarding his loyal fans, by dishing out feeble and lazy content. If not, he'll lose out to this young and energetic music act "Rema."

Lies! This man died since 2012- LEDAP

News circulated last week about one Mr Olatunji Olaide, who was imprisoned for 24 years, for a crime he never committed, by the leader of the Joint Legal action Aids(JLAA), Kinsley Ughe. Well an NGO, Legal Defence And Assistance Project (LEDAP), has refuted the claim, revealing that Mr Olaide died in 2012, shortly after he was released, and that no one should make any cash donation on his behalf. They have these to say; Our attention has been drawn to the fraudulent reports circulating on social media platforms requesting for cash donations from the members of the public to assist Olatunji Olaide who spent twenty four years in prison for an offence he never committed. We were also notified that one Mr. Kingsley Ughe, the Chief Lawyer of Joint Legal Action Aid claimed to have represented Mr. Olatunji Olaide at the Court of Appeal on his conviction for murder. This information is a gross misrepresentation of facts. Late Olatunji Olaide was convicted by Honourable Justice A. O.

Though Hushpuppy dished out claims that he is not rich, after his former friends, Mompha and Cubana Chief priest, claimed that Bentley Bentayga and Rolls Royce, bought by Hushpuppy were all rented cars, Dharmie Richie, threatening to expose Hushpuppy over his fake lifestyle, will likely make people conclude that yes, Hushpuppy is a fake guy.
